My Story

I began learning about and experimenting with holistic health in 1995, which is also when I started practicing yoga. After years of exploring various modalities and practices, I encountered - and immediately began studying and using - Ayurveda. That was in 2002.

Soon after I started studying Ayurveda, a close friend was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. I suggested he visit the Vaidya (Ayurvedic doctor) that I’d gone to see and he did so. My friend, in his early 20s at the time, had been experiencing several serious symptoms including those associated with rheumatoid arthritis and chronic fatigue, as well as discoid lesions on his skin. After only a few days of following the Vaidya’s advice, my friend’s symptoms were markedly reduced. There were both dietary suggestions and nutritional supplements in his new regimen, but it was simple and relatively easy to follow.

Needless to say, I quickly became a convert. I had experienced some benefits personally but I had no serious health issues so the benefits were more subtle. Having seen what Ayurveda did for my friend showed me the potential of this perspective and its practices.

I continued to study Ayurveda informally until 2006 when I moved to India to study at the Gujarat Ayurved University in Gujarat and, later, with Dr. Vasant Lad in Pune, India and in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the Ayurvedic Institute.

I’ve been studying Ayurveda for more than 20 years, and I am always a student. I continue to develop, build-on and refine my understanding of this unique science of life, every day, and I now teach it as well. I want to see everyone’s life enhanced by Ayurveda the way mine has been. With a balanced mind and body and a contented heart, it feels like anything is possible.

I’m a teacher of Yoga, Ayurveda Practitioner and student of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I develop and deliver classes and courses - both in-person and online - using all of these modalities, separately and together. I aim to live well and help others do the same; cultivating a healthy and balanced mind and body, for a more fulfilling life.

The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in seeing with new eyes.
